Kiteboarding

Fly away with the latest extreme sport—kiteboarding. Part snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding and paragliding; kiteboarding is the newest action for winter athletes. Invented in the late 1990s, kiteboarding brings high-adrenaline action to winter. Kite riders embrace the wind. With a choice of skis, a snowboard or a kite-specific board, enthusiasts launch through snowy landscapes propelled by a kite. Sailing through snowy fields, riders control a multi-line system for high speed and freestyle trick maneuvers. Kiteboarders embrace the open terrain throughout the Wood River Valley.
