“What’s on Your

HP Women’s Challenge, Stage 2—June 16 marks the Lowman to Stanley stage of the Challenge. Cyclists begin the 58.5 mile race on Highway 21 at 11 a.m. The course record is 2:25:03.
HP Women’s Challenge, Stage 3—June 17 marks the Stanley individual time trial. Cyclists race 25 miles from Stanley to Banner Summit on Highway 21 and back again, starting at 10 a.m.
Dance in the Mountains Summer Workshop—A six-day intensive workshop—June 17 to 22— for serious dancers ages 12 to adult. Special classes for ages 9 to 11. HP Women’s Challenge, Stage 4—June 18 marks the Stanley to Ketchum stage of the Challenge. Cyclists race 62.3 miles from Stanley over the 8,700 foot high Galena Pass to Ketchum, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The course record is 2:27:13.
Mackay Rodeo—Join the migration east for the legendary Mackay Rodeo June 22 through 23 in Mackay, Idaho. Details: 208-588-3180.

Seventh Annual Garden Tour—The July 13 tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. showcases the Sawtooth Botanical Garden and private gardens in the Hailey area. Sun Valley Center for the Arts Wine Auction—The 21st annual auction, July 25 through 27, a fund-raising event for the Sun Valley Center for the Arts at the River Run Lodge. Four full days devoted to the nectar of the gods in Sun Valley. The fest brings together wine connoisseurs, collectors, vintners and patrons of the arts. Trailing of the Sheep—Oct. 11 through 13. Following 100-year-old sheep trails, the shepherds move their flocks from summer pastures in the north mountains south through the heart of Ketchum. In recognition of the rite’s cultural heritage and history, three days of activities are planned including Basque dinners, historical lectures, programs and performances. Details: 726-3423.

Sun Valley Ice Skating Show—June 15 is the season opening of the outdoor ice skating extravaganza featuring national and international skating champions. At the Sun Valley Lodge outdoor rink.
