THE RIDE: Good news for bikers and
hikers, the Forest Service has approved
construction of the Baldy Perimeter Trail. The
proposed 17-mile trail will loop around the edge
of Bald Mountain. Plans call for the clearing of
a four-foot wide path accessible to both bikers
and hikers. As the construction progresses more
information will be posted on this site. GETTING THERE:
Drive or ride to the Warm Springs Lodge,
approximately 4 miles from Ketchum. Park your car
along the access road.
THE RIDE:
Start this17-mile ride at Warm Springs Lodge on
the existing access road. Continue riding
parallel to Warm Springs Creek for several miles.
In the Broadway Saddle area the trail forks. (The
Broadway trail heads north, taking you to Lookout
Restaurant.) Continue following Baldy Perimeter
Trail along the south side of Seattle Ridge to
Turkey Bowl and down Cold Springs Gulch. The ride
finishes at the existing Blaine County bike path.
